“The dawn of youth, the twilight years/ The tender lives we hold so dear/ The memory of the smile, the tear/ The slender threads that bind us here.”
~Kathy Mattea, “The Slender Threads That Bind Us Here”
Hi. Welcome to my little slice of the blogosphere. My name is Janet. I’m a fortysomething, single RN living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I share my life, and my flat-with-a-view, with two black-furred creatures of the feline persuasion. I’m a Jesus-lover and currently attend a nondenominational church, though lately I have felt drawn to towards a more liturgical style of worship. I’m trying to work that out. I’m a fiber artist specializing in knitting and crocheting. It keeps me sane. 😉 I am a volunteer Child Advocate with Compassion International. If you would like to learn more about their ministry, check out my Compassion page. I am a daughter of two parents still married after 45 years, sister of two brothers, “sister” of several, auntie of five, “auntie” of many, and beloved of One.
Thanks for joining me here.
