Happy October!
I have been working so much lately that I’m just wiped on my days/nights off, which happened to be yesterday. I was just too exhausted to even think about writing a post. After 12 hours of sleep, though, I’m feeling much more energetic. I’ll still link up with the Yarn Along. Better late than never, eh?
The Hook
If you’ve followed the blog at all, you know my hook is normally a poor, neglected thing. Not this week! This week, my hook has taken center stage!
For starters, I finished two more squares for my Magnum Opus and tried my hand at a couple sunburst granny squares.
I hate that the Navy always looks black in photos. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix it. Oh, and those clothespins? I got that fabulous idea from Lucy at Attic24! I had fun on Tuesday putting all my shades of “I Love This Yarn” on clothespins. It really helped with another project that I’m super excited about.
Sandra over at Cherry Heart is having a Crochet A-Long of her Spice Of Life blanket! I wasn’t going to join, really I wasn’t! The last thing I need is another WIP! But then people I follow on Instagram started posting their blankets. And they looked so pretty! And I do have a lot of yarn. And…oh… What the heck!
Those yarn pegs helped me pick out my palette, which I decided to base on my special quilt.
I was going to make the blanket totally from stash, but I caved and picked up Glacier, Amethyst, Orchid, and Cornflower yesterday.
The last picture was taken just a few minutes ago. For my blanket, I’m using “I Love This Yarn” from Hobby Lobby and an H/5.0 mm hook. So far it’s Peacock, Turquoise, Pink, and Cornflower.
The Book
I’m still stuck in First Year with Harry, but at least it’s Hogwarts, right? Seriously, I could have this book read in two nights if I just say down and actually read it.
The Needles
For once, it’s my needles that have been slightly neglected. I finished the Milo I was knitting on Saturday, and it’s off to its tiny recipient.
I’ve also done a bit more work on Heidi’s monster. One leg is now totally knitted and just needs the foot stuffed. Maybe I’ll finish it tonight so I can show you (and Heidi) tomorrow.
And that about rounds up my update, except to say that this post marks my one year blogiversary! I can’t believe it’s been that long!
Have a blessed rest of your day!

Gosh you have been so busy! I love the yarn pegs and all the colours contained on them. The quilt is wonderful and I think your new project based on it will be fabulous.

Really like the clothes pins for holding your yarn. I imagine it helps to mix and match colors and decide which order to knit them in.
